Description

The Motherland (EP- 4 tracks 2008)

In 2007, Dajla and her producer Benji Bouton leave for a music residency to Libreville, Gabon. This journey back to Africa with the pygmies of Gabon will give birth to Dajla’s 2nd record, the Motherland EP, a blend of urban soul, afro-funk and hip-hop that Dajla calls “Afrodelic” Soul.

The late rapper, Ebow Graham, (Metropolis from Foreign Beggars), delivers a fantastic performance on the single The Motherland as well as appearing in the official music video, shot between Gabon and London, by director Sam Fisher, and featuring members of the White Tiger Society in London and of the Foreign Beggars.
